Whole Cities Foundation launched the Community First Grant Program to build thriving local food systems and grow community health. Through the program, we support partnerships between Whole Foods Market Team Members and locally-led, fresh food access projects nationwide.
In 2016, we partnered with 32 new communities and invested a total of $168,000 in diverse projects like urban farms, mobile markets and community gardens that are building local food systems and growing community health.
In 2017, Whole Cities Foundation invested $220,000 to support 44 partnerships nationwide.
We will be announcing the 2018 partners this fall!
